Outdoor sport-climbing practice used as a foundation for technical courses
Systems and independence

Technical climbing courses

Training to build independence on more complex terrain: multi-pitch, trad climbing, anchors, rappels and rope management.

Two courses, different goals

Multi-pitch training focuses on equipped anchors, changeovers and descent. Trad protection adds cams, nuts, extension and placement assessment for traditional terrain.

Systems, judgement and independence for complex terrain

Technical courses connect anchors, transitions, rappels, retreat, rope and protection. Each option is compared by function, load, sequence and checking rather than treated as a recipe for every setting. Consistent sport foundations leave attention available to organise equipment, communicate and check new tasks calmly. If belaying, leading or rope handling remains uncertain, strengthen it before adding systems.

Systems are rehearsed near the ground so they can be paused, inspected and repeated before height, body position, time and load are added. On the wall, friction, coordination and decisions appear that a list of steps cannot resolve. Training defines objectives and criteria for reducing foreseeable errors; it cannot cover every problem or demonstrate independence by itself. Afterwards, consolidate each system separately: record uncertainties and repeat with mutual checks, suitable partners, planning and conservative terrain.

Multi-pitch climbing

Anchors, transitions, belaying the second, rappels, communication, careful planning, checks under load and orderly task sharing on each pitch.

Trad climbing

Cams, nuts, extension, rock reading, load direction and assessment of each placement through comparison and mutual checks.

Problem solving

Retreat criteria, order on the wall, preventing tangles, comparing alternatives and managing common mistakes before increasing exposure or commitment.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions before booking

Can multi-pitch and trad protection be combined in one course?

They are different objectives. Your foundations are reviewed first, then one system is prioritised for orderly practice, checking and sufficient margin.
