Sport and wall character
Montanejos combines sport climbing and longer walls in a canyon setting. A sport session can address movement, route reading or mileage; multi-pitch adds belays, role changes, ropes, communication and descent. Terrain is chosen for usefulness rather than appearance or length.
Observed attempts can support movement coaching, while multi-pitch practice reserves time for checking systems. Questions, rest and repetition belong within training; metres climbed do not provide a useful comparison between formats.
Canyon aspects create different temperatures and exposure, but no guarantee of a suitable wall. Sheltered rock may retain moisture while another face catches wind. Reading those differences belongs alongside the technical objective before the venue is fixed.
