This page describes how analytics currently works on Climb in Valencia. We use Google Analytics 4 only for measurement and only after you accept.
Service, purpose and consent
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a Google service, to understand in aggregate how the site is visited and which content and interactions are useful. Your consent is the basis for activating this measurement.
We use Basic Consent Mode: before acceptance, analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied; the Google tag is not loaded and we send no analytics requests to Google. If you accept, only analytics_storage changes to granted.
We do not use this setup for advertising. ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain denied, while Google Signals and ad personalization signals are disabled.
Usage data measured
After acceptance, GA4 may receive page path and title, language, page type, scroll depth, and limited interactions such as calls-to-action, language changes and outbound-link clicks. Google may also process standard technical data such as browser, device, referrer and approximate location derived from the connection.
We do not deliberately send GA4 names, contact details, WhatsApp message text or free-text content entered by a person.

These cookies can be created only after acceptance. Google may refresh their expiry when the site is used; they may disappear sooner if you clear browser data.
How we store your choice
We store a versioned record of your choice (granted or denied) in localStorage under climbinvalencia:consent. This record is not a cookie, has no automatic expiry, and remains until you change your choice, clear site data, or a new consent version invalidates it.
When you reject, we also store a denial signal in sessionStorage for the current browser session. This safeguard keeps analytics disabled even if persistent storage fails.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Open Cookie preferences from the footer of any page. Rejecting after acceptance disables new events, communicates denial to Google, and immediately attempts to remove accessible _ga and _ga_* cookies for this site. You can also clear site data in your browser. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out while consent was active.
Google and international processing
Google receives and processes GA4 data as service provider. Depending on Google’s infrastructure and operations, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google explains its practices, locations and transfer mechanisms in its documentation; we do not claim that this information alone satisfies every applicable obligation.
