What you will do

La Falconera is a three-to-four-hour outing for participants who exercise regularly and can function comfortably at height throughout the complete equipped route and all its transitions. The route includes a zipline over 100 metres long, without relying on an unconfirmed exact measurement.

Activity plan

Preparation covers equipment, progression technique, rests and communication for the vertical sections.

Before confirmation we ask about previous experience, regular physical activity and whether you can move and follow instructions comfortably at height. The intermediate level requires coordination across the complete outing.

How to interpret the K3 level

The approximate K3 level describes the route as a whole, not one isolated move. Changing carabiners, finding secure footholds and retaining coordination on vertical sections require attention and regular physical activity, although the complete outing also includes preparation, transitions and rests.

Arm strength is not the only guide. Good footwork, unhurried movement and mentioning tiredness early help manage effort. If you have completed via ferratas before, explain how they felt and which parts were difficult so suitability can be assessed more accurately.

What to expect from the zipline

The zipline forms part of the via ferrata and is described as over 100 metres long, without using an unconfirmed exact figure. Anyone unsure about this feature should mention it when enquiring, just like any concern related to height.

It is not an attraction booked separately; it is integrated into an intermediate outing with equipped climbing. Specific instructions depend on the activity and are given where relevant, so previous zipline experience is not required.

Could this be your first via ferrata?

It can be considered as a first experience, but K3 is not the gentlest introduction for everyone. Regular physical activity, coordination and the ability to move and follow instructions comfortably at height matter more than a wish to begin directly on an intermediate route.

Describe other vertical activities, fitness and any previous difficulty with exposure or fatigue honestly. Depending on that profile and availability, Falconera may fit or a via ferrata with more gradual progression may be more suitable.

FAQ

Is it suitable as a first via ferrata?

It is assessed case by case. For a first experience, regular physical activity, coordination and the ability to function comfortably at height all matter.

Do I need previous zipline experience?

No. The zipline forms part of the via ferrata and instructions are given during the activity. Mention any concern about this feature or height when enquiring.
